Remove the old storm door handle by unscrewing the two screws that hold the two halves together.

The button handle has a spring that is roughly cone shaped.
Press lightly as you drill the metal.
Inspect how the handle was installed on the door in the first place.
Turn the nut until the door is leveled off.
Mark the door for the new hole locations using the template provided with the new door handle.
If they are loose tighten them.

Mark new hole locations.
Use a screwdriver to remove the handle from its spot.
Stick a shim between the door and the frame as in photo 1 tighten the existing screws and drill new screw holes through the frame.
On many newer less expensive locksets the faceplate the round plate that fits against the door surface itself has two exposed screws that may loosen over time causing the doorknob mechanism to wobble loosely.
When this occurs it s an easy matter to simply tighten these screws to snug up the door again.
