A shadowbox frames and protects the fan from potential external threats such as the sun or kids with oily or dirty hands.
How to hang a large folding fan on the wall.
Cut about 4 or 5 inches of string and use a couple of small pieces of tape to tape each end of the string to one of the wooden or plastic ribs on the back of the fan separating the ends by several.
Make sure the fan is level.
Open the fan to its full width and set it face down on a clean surface.
Decide where you want to hang your fan.
Place your fan in a shadow box for mounting it to the wall thus eliminating the need to puncture holes in or use tape on the fan.
Step 1 measure the width and height of the fan when it is fully open.
Cut seven pieces of tape to position on the back of the fan.
Step 2 mark the location of the bottom of the fan in four places two within an inch of the outside of the fan and two within an inch of the pivot point.
When you receive your fan remove all packaging materials and hold it in front of you with the single pivot screw towards the bottom of the fan.
Remove the backing from the interlocking strips on the backside of the fan.
The fan should easily open to it s full width of 60 inches 40 inches for our smaller sized fans.
Now you can easily unfold the fan by twisting the bamboo slats in a clockwise direction.
Open the fan fully and hold it in the desired position on the wall.
Arrange the fan to best suit your idea of the display.
