Install Roof Shingles Ridge

Step 2 cut shingles.

Install roof shingles ridge.

Start by laying asphalt felt or other underlayment over the roof. Ensure the shingles aren t too cold. Cut the ventilation opening. How to install shingles on a roof ridge.

Step 5 install roof. Overlap each row at least 3 to 4 inches. Since ridge cap shingles have to be formed over the ridge the shingles. If you live in an area with inclement weather you should consider using a special ice and water protector.

Collect the number of shingles that will be needed for the roof ridge. Chalk lines should be used to help ensure clean straight professional looking shingle ridge cap installation. Step 1 prepare shingles. Install new flashing metal.

Step 3 wrap shingle over ridge. This video shows exactly how to cut the last shingle use roofing cement nail the last shingle on the ridge cap then hide those nails. Installing the last shingle on the ridge cap or roof isn t hard.
