This is part 1 of a 6 part video series explaining how i installed a metal roof on my house.
Installing a metal roof on a lean to.
I installed all the metal roof by my self and managed to not die in the process.
Cover the lean to roof with corrugated metal roofing.
Install the roofing screws vertically along each rib in the panel.
You will need to order enough metal material to cover the entire roof and this process.
Align the first metal roofing panel so that it overlaps the edging by 1 2 to 3 4 of an inch and is square to the roof.
Measure the roof area.
Be sure the larger edge is laid so that the small edge of the next panel will overlap it.
Make sure that the screws are all aligned evenly as you will be able to see them from the ground if they are.
Remove the old roof.
Place the first panel on one end of the roof and secure it to the sheathing strips top and bottom with a screw gun and galvanized steel or aluminum screws depending on the type of roofing metal with plastic washers on them.

Measure 8 feet from the existing structure towards the outer direction and dig a deep hole to drive the post in.
The diy lean to is finally completed.
This lean to will work well to keep th.
For exposed fasteners avoid over tightening the fastener.
From this existing post measure 3 feet distance in the same line dig a hole and drive the second post in.
Drive the post in and fill the hole with concrete to set it in place.
